Valerie Harr

Valerie J. Harr was appointed Director of the Division of Medical Assistance and Health services (DMAHS) in December 2010. Ms. Harr joined DMAHS in 2002 as the Budget Director. In 2007, Valerie became DMAHS' Deputy Director.

Prior to joining DMAHS, Director Harr worked in the State's Office of Management and Budget. Ms. Harr began her career in Medicaid policy at the Center for Health Care Strategies.

Director Harr has a Master's degree in Sociology from West Virginia University and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Millersville University.
