38th Annual Institute
IN CONJUNCTION WITH
The Borgata Hotel and Casino Spa
Atlantic City, NJ 08401
The New Jersey Chapter of HFMA is currently accepting abstracts for educational sessions to be presented at the 38th Annual Institute, which will be held from October 8 through October 10, 2014 at the Borgata in Atlantic City. This is the NJ Chapter’s primary event, which routinely draws over 500 healthcare executives who come for the educational content and networking opportunities. The success of the event depends on the strength of our educational offerings as well as the support of our sponsors, without whom the Annual Institute would not be possible.
The agenda will be established using specified tracks, which will include patient financial services, compliance, reimbursement, managed care, revenue integrity and financial reporting. Based on input from our members, we will be looking for speakers to present on the following topics:
|Physician/Provider Billing Compliance|| Research/Clinical Trials |
|Post & Non-Acute Care Issues || Population Health Compliance |
|Compliance with Stark & AKS|| EHR Safe Harbor |
|Meaningful Use Update || Two Midnight Rule |
|FMV of Physician Compensation || HIPAA/OCR Update |
|ICD-10 Update || Medicare's CCI/OCE Edits |
|IRS NFP Hospital Update || Medically Unlikely Edits |
|Self-Administered Drugs || Claim Edit Best Practices |
|Observation Services || Price Transparency |
|Impact of ACA on NJ Providers || RAC/CMS Audit Update |
|Appeal Process Through ALJ || Healthcare Organization Sustainability |
|CDI – Revenue Cycle vs. Compliance Making Big Data Work |
|Verifying APC Payments || Developing Strong Financial Projections |
|Medicare FY 2015 Update || Working with Physicians to Control Costs |
|DSRIP Process || Exchange Effects on Revenue Cycle |
Recognizing the ongoing rate of change in healthcare, other topics will also be accepted, as will be any related topic that may be of interest to our attendees. Some abstracts will be chosen as general Sessions, while others will be assigned to a specific track.
We also have some exciting new sponsorship opportunities, which we hope you will consider.
If you are interested in presenting at the 38th Annual Institute of the New Jersey Chapter of HFMA, please fill out the abstracts form and return it prior to March 31, 2014 to the NJ HFMA Education Committee, at email@example.com.
