Keynote Speaker announced
Ezekiel J. Emanuel is one of the world's leading scholars of healthcare reform and bioethics, bringing an extraordinary range of expertise to the healthcare debate.
He is the Vice Provost for Global Initiatives, the Diane v.S. Levy and Robert M. Levy University Professor,
and Chair of the Department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy at the University of Pennsylvania.
He holds appointments in the Perelman School of Medicine and the Wharton School.
Albert A. Vicere is President of Vicere Associates Inc., a consulting firm whose clients span the globe. A noted teacher, researcher and writer, he holds Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral degrees from the Pennsylvania State University where he honed his interest and expertise in the fields of executive and leadership development.
Day Egusquiza brings over 30 years experience in health care reimbursement, hospital business office operations, contracting and compliance implementation. Additionally, her experience includes eight years as a Director of a Physician Medical Management billing service and most recently completed an integrated business office between a hospital and a large physician clinic. She has been an entrepreneur in hospital and physician practice accounts receivable management and a leader in redesigning numerous organizations. Her work includes providing guidance as a compliance & reimbursement educator while providing operational insight on the revenue cycle impacts of RAC/Medicare Recovery Audit Contractors. Additionally, she has been instrumental in researching and preparing national education on the impact of the Prescription Drug Benefit. ICD 10 is also on the list of 'fun' projects with audit and boot camps. Day's strength is her ability to 'operationalize' complex regulations into teachable components.
Kevin F. Brennan is the Executive Vice President of Finance, Chief Financial Officer of Geisinger Health System and Treasurer of the Foundation. As Chief Financial Officer, he is responsible for all of the System financial operations and directs key functions including: treasury management, revenue cycle, financial reporting, budgeting, third party contracting, compliance, payroll, accounts payable, tax, decision support, mergers and acquisitions and financial systems, including workforce management.
Richard W. Silveria is currently the Senior Vice President of Finance and CFO of Boston Medical Center, where he has corporate responsibilities for finance functions including treasury. Boston Medical Center is $2.3 B health system primarily comprised of a 511 bed Academic Medical Center, the Boston Medical Center Healthnet Health Plan, the Faculty Practice Foundation and an insurance captive.
